M. Christopher Sardo
PhD, Political Theory
Northwestern University

Welcome
Chris recently completed his PhD candidate in Political Theory at Northwestern University. His dissertation explores and critiques the personalization of responsibility in American political discourse (and its attendant displacement of politics) and draws on the work of Friedrich Nietzsche to develop an alternative political ethic of responsibility.
Chris is also interested in the political thought of Immanuel Kant, Post-Kantian Idealism, contemporary democratic theory, political judgment, and new materialism/speculative realism.

Beginning in January 2018, Chris will be Lecturer in Political Theory at UC, Irvine.
In addition, Chris was the Assistant Chair for the Public Affairs Residential College (PARC) where he advises and mentors an undergradaute living/learning community. He is also a former co-coordinator of the Northwestern Graduate Student Political Theory Workshop.

Chris also curates a tumblr with additional resources for political theory courses he is teaching.
